God will use any circumstance for His glory. I thank Him for that – and you should too! He is GREAT! A little while ago, one brother sent me a message that I didn’t spur – but instead – I took to heart -and prayed over it. What was ironic was God had put this brother on my heart and for months I had been quietly going to his Youtube channel – trying to subscribe, but finding I couldn’t because I was blocked. Even more ironic was the fact that I was just about to write this brother and ask him to unblock me so I could subscribe to him when his message arrived.
You see, this brother in Christ and I had several harsh words for each other the last time we had talked, and we ended up in a very bitter place. I blocked him – he blocked me – and we sent a message to the world that two brothers in Christ couldn’t get it together.
That all seems to be turning around. Yesterday, this brother challenged me in a series called the Revival Chain, where Youtube Christians are posting videos praying for revival in America, so that this nation might once again repent and follow the Lord. I accepted the challenge and successfully completed it thanks to the grace of God.
So today, I count myself among the blessed for this brother. I am ecstatic that the blocks have been removed, and that we are on a road to recovery in terms of our friendship. Are things perfect? No! Praise the Lord – they aren’t! That’s a good thing! I think that God uses our differences to strengthen our similarities, and in the end, He uses all of it for His glory.
So I start this journey a new with my brother. I have no expectations or illusions, but I do have the hope that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ. However God may use us – all I can say is Amen and Thank you Father!
Peace Without Expectations
