Ok – so I am trying to start up a new series of videos that are supposed to be entertaining… I don’t know how well its working yet – but I did enjoy this making this episode. Let me give you some of the ins and outs on this one.
Last week, a dear brother in Christ who is on Youtube as Jeromestein4u asked his viewers if they could post a video where we say ‘Jeromestein4me?!’ – he is going to put together a fun little video of his own once there are enough submissions. With this in mind I set out to do a spoof episode about how to bring exposure to your Youtube channel.
In the first part of the video I used audio clips from JeromesteinforU, Etonic, and VioletKitty (albeit sped up). I hope they don’t mind… lol. After spending a few minutes with some honest tips, I went into a scenario where I claim that I have tried a local promotion using trading cards of myself – approaching kids with the card in an attempt to increase my Youtube traffic.
This was a blast – and I learned a little about production along the way… for instance – I should’ve adjusted the white balance of my camera before shooting the green screen segment of the piece… but thats ok – lesson learned. Shooting with my son, my foster son, and their teammate was great stuff. I also got a chance to work with my two nephews with the cam – and that was a blast. My mother even makes a cameo appearance!
