A Troubling Email

I received this in my Youtube email messages today. It is difficult to read – as the English isn’t perfect and there are spelling errors and misused words… but it seems to be an honest testimony that I was asked to share.

Christ (I’ll pick you to talk to about why I took all my video’s down and get ride of 80 odd friends off my friends list)

Yeap I took all my video’s down and add to get ride of some many of my friends list) since then I at peace with God and myself. Yokeup and his gang done my head in with there utter rubbish in Christ’s holy name (yes holy name) if you mis user his name its wrong.

People on here have to learn they can’t sell Christ to me or use fear of death and judgement, because before I come to youtube, I had a dream where Jesus give me the spirit in a field and said I am the Word of God (you can believe that or not but its the truth. I walk away from so many on here, because they would not believe I have the Father and Son living in my Heart and the Kingdom of God is within me.

When you lot where doing my head in, I went into my room and said abba = Father why do they think I’m of the world are they talking for you the spirit within me (see I trust God not big gobs on here saying your going to burn burn burn) they think people burning so much is it because they are on fire and want to take people with them. The Lord put these bible verse’s in my mind to answer at that time not to listen to them or any of you – Romans 10:2 & Galatians 4 17-18.

I have the Father And Son and Holy Spirit living with my spirit since moving away from the silly ways on here, I’m living more in the spirit and not in the flesh, you lot live to much in the flesh for me and thats the sad truth you only bring me down to your level I found I was sinning more after watching the so called Christian video’s on here, but now I just go to God and he helps me. I don’t not judge anyone when I did what I did the spirit told me to walk away, because they will never listen to you, but you seem to have shown maybe a few of you might.

But no this I will never joy any group or movement on here, because I have the Father and Son to go to and learn me, because I trust my Abba and his Son totally. The Kingdom is within us and thats the truth, but not many on here believe that so they try to live by laws and rules and judging everyone and try to save people to please God, when you really only need the Father and Son to stop living in the flesh, because the ways of the flesh are death…

The big thing I got out of this is Yokeup has utterly confused yet another person – and chased them from the Youtube community. This is ridiculous. This has to stop. Please pray for God to change our hearts so there can be true unity on Youtube – otherwise – as a Christian community – we are useless there.

Jeff – Caroline – Kelso – Mark – Mackie – I don’t know where I stand with either of you – I don’t know if any of you care about anything I have to say concerning your feud – but I am asking you all – just stop…

God has not blessed us with camera and Youtube channels so that we can devour each other… you are actually destroying your testimonies because you’re consumed with one upping the other…

You guys know what you’re doing – you take a swipe here – you throw a punch there – and now things are getting so hurtful it seems that there will never be reconciliation…

Please – for your own sakes – take a step back – and look at what has happened – look at how out of control this has become… you surely don’t believe that Jesus is on either side of this battle – can you?

who ever was right to begin with has lost that claim now that the feud has sunk so far down into the pit…

I love you guys – and I know that I am not particularly close with any of you – in fact – I know that some of you despise me – but I am begging you – before you are so consumed with anger and hatred that you forget that you are children of God… please – just stop…
stop watching each others videos – stop commenting – stop talking – until the words that you say are I am sorry – all of you are guilty – and it just needs to stop…

To Forum or Not to Forum

Does anyone realize there are Forums up in the side bar here? We had a few people tell us they wanted us to add the feature – but its been virtually unused. Di and I are debating on whether or not to keep them up… let us know what you think… are you interested in the forums? Do they actually have a place on this site or is it just a feature that you wouldn’t use?

Pure Love

1 Corinthians 13

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

This is perhaps the deepest and most difficult struggle people have with the Way of Christ… we all say we love – but what does that really mean? People have created their own meanings for the word love over the centuries – but Apostle Paul spelled it out quite clearly – so how do you relate to these words? These are my thoughts on the passage…

Love is patient… meaning if we love someone we are willing to wait for them in matters where we feel they are doing wrong…

Love is kind… meaning if we love someone we will not be  cruel to them…

Love does not envy… meaning if we love someone we will not be full of grudging admiration

Love does not boast… meaning we have no need or desire to brag to the ones we say we lovein order to prove how much better we are then they are…

Love is not rude… meaning we will not insult, humiliate or attack the ones we love…

Love is not self-seeking… meaning we do not seek things from the ones we love simply to appease ourselves…

Love is not easily angered… meaning it takes a lot to make it angry gainst our loved ones…

Love keeps no records of wrongs… meaning once we have forgiven someone we love we forget it – we get over it – we let it go…

Love doesn’t delight in evil but loves the truth… meaning we do not celebrate and rejoice when the ones we love are hit with hard times – nor do we go out of our way to do something evil against them to teach them a lesson -  instead we speak the truth, even when it hurts, because the truth will set them free of that which hinders them…

Love always protects… meaning we seek to to shelter and sheild the ones we love…

Love always trusts… meaning we trust those we love…

Love always hopes… meaning we always hope for the best for the ones we love…

Love always perseveres… meaning we never give up on hope we have for the ones we love…

Ultimately we should strive to love each other with pure love… and no matter how impossible it may seem to achieve this kind of pure love, we should always remember that all things are possible with God…

Back Off My Pastor!

I have to tell you – I was surprised at how sharply some people judged the pastor of our church based on a single clip I posted on Youtube this week. They took every little word and filtered it through their religious mindsets and spit out the standard attacks.

For instance, Pastor Jeff challenged the congregation to step out of their religious rituals and we heard from a Luthernan brother who took offense because he is defensive of the Lutheran rituals… PJ wasn’t talking about the religious rituals of other churches – he was talking about the way people tend to come to church just to say they did – he was talking about religion as a habit – and he was calling them to step out in faith and join him at the alter for prayer.

I also heard from brothers who accused him of being a prosperity preacher – a Benny Hinn or Joel Osteen… why? Because PJ prayed that God might bless our finances… but these brothers don’t understand that our congregation is about a 1/3 unemplyed, 1/3 are under employed, and the rest are barely making it. I know what PJ means – and if he is doing this ‘church thing’ for money he isn’t very smart – I know what he’s making and he could make more money working for minimum wage down at McDonald’s.

You see – we live in a very depressed area of Massachusetts, in fact, many would say our area is demonically oppressed with a sizable pagan/wiccan presence. When I joined the church a year ago they were fortunate to have 30 people in attendence. Today, that number has risen to 80 plus. Wednesday night Bible studies were packed if there were 15 people. Today – they are buldging at 40-50 in attendance.

The Lord has been blessing our church and the ministry of Pastor Jeff, and I just felt a need to share these facts with you all. GBU and HJD!

HJD Forums Return

Ok – so if you look over at the Quick Links in the left hand column you’ll notice there is a new ‘Forum’ link… I didn’t think I’d ever put another forum up but after CajunPunk and I started a lively conversation about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and completely got jumbled up because of the pace of the chat room – we decided it would be better to have a forum for such a discussion.

Thus – in the ‘Forums’ – when there is a need for a detailed and extensive conversation, we can have it there! Unfortunately – this also requires an additional (free) registration separate from the registration required to post comments to the blog and log into chat…

We welcome you to join in the ‘Forums’. There will be many topics listed and you’re viewpoint is important to us as well!

God Chat Returns!

For those who have known us for a long time – they will surely remember the God Chat. This chat was a simple text based chat that was small, yet dedicated to the Lord. When stickam started to become all the rage we tried to move it over to their service and before too long interest in the God Chat had pretty much died off. Thus, we let it go.

There was a lot of history with the God Chat. Lives were changed, people brought to Christ, Christians brought closer to Christ, and in at least one case, a romantic match had been made. You see, I met my wife Diana in the HJD God Chat.

Lately, we have both been feeling like we should try to bring it back – the God Chat that is. Thus, I went into Stickam over the last few weeks, to get a feel for things again, and found that it is still a buggy chat system with lots of lag and many distractions. This isn’t what a God Chat should be, in our humble opinion. This leads us to today, in the waning hours of the afternoon, we committed to the God Chat once again. If you look to the left you’ll be find the ‘God Chat’ link at the top of the ‘Quick Links’.

So what do you need to know about this incarnation of the God Chat? It is still a simple text based chat room out here in the middle of the net, however, this time, you will be able to register your name with a password – thus insuring no one can come in pretending to be you. It will still be attended Monday – Fridays, 9pm to 12am EST… but anyone who remembers how the old God Chat worked knows that Diana and I don’t always make it in on time. I anticipate Wednesdays will be tough to make it on time as I have been recruited to help teach the Church Bible Study on Wednesdays and Fridays will be tough as well since we are still doing the Friday Night Youth Group… never-the-less… we will give it our best shot.
