World at War – the NWO

Everyday I get another one – a video here a video there – filled with pulsing music, fancy graphics, provocative productions – and they are all saying the same thing… new world order – its coming – be ready – revolt – rebel – wake up –

I hate to say this – but if everything they are saying is true – if we are able to learn about this and hear about this on Youtube and such – then its already too late to stop it -

So what is the Christian to do?

We should do what we have always been called to do – keep our eyes on the Lord…

Now I am not suggesting we turn a blind eye to all the wickedness that is coming to this world…

Jesus called us to be wise as serpents but innocent as doves…

We ought to speak out against injustice – we ought to warn people of what is to come –

but the answer to all the impending doom that we may be facing is the same answer that it was some two thousand years ago when the Roman’s oppressed the world – and that is Jesus Christ… stand in the name of Christ and trust God to do what must be done…

stock piles of food will run dry – but we don’t live on bread alone – but on every word that comes from the mouth of God

Hiding behind guns and ammo will only bring us death – for he who lives by the sword dies by the sword –

If the day comes when we are so blessed as to be able to stand up and refuse such things as a one world government – one world currency – or even refuse to accept an implant chip – let us do so as the earliest Christians did – and that is to refuse these things in the name of Jesus Christ – even unto our own deaths with our heads bowed in prayer for the salvation of our enemies… then indeed – that is a blessed day…

There is so much panic and worry that it seems as if we have forgotten the words of Jesus – and that is not to worry about tomorrow, for today has enough worries all its own… know that fighting for our lives in this world is foolishness when this life is just a fleeting moment in the infinite plan of God – our true lives begin in the eternal life promised by Jesus Christ to those who hold onto His teachings and obey Him…

Stay in Christ – hold true to what He has taught – and resist the urge to do as the world does… focus on Him because this world is passing soon… and it won’t matter if how the end comes – just that it is coming…

Prayer – Your Phone Line to God

On March 6th, I will be participating in the Youtube Day of Prayer – and one of the reasons I am a supporter of this is because I know there are so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ who do not understand the importance of prayer… So today – I want to focus in on the topic of prayer –

People often ask why I seem so happy – so content and patient – my answer is always because Jesus is my Savior – but in a deeper context – its because I have a relationship with Him – through prayer! My wife and I have been running a Christian Youth Group out of our home for years now, and prayer is a topic that often comes up with the teens… they often don’t understand the need for prayer – after all – God knows everything and sees everything… so why do we need to vocalize anything to Him…

The first thing I try to explain to them is that prayer is for as much for the person praying as it is for anything else… prayer helps to renew our relationship with God on a constant basis…

Jesus told us in Matthew 6 that when we pray – we should go into our room, close the door and pray to our Father… so while we can pray as a group – and we can pray anywhere – it is important that we get alone and get one on one with God – without any distractions …

Prayer develops our relationship with God – and the more we pray – the easier it becomes to pray. In prayer we we express our remorse and repent our sin – we pray for intercession in our lives – we glorify and thank the Lord – Yes, God already knows everything you’re going to pray – He already knows your every need – but many times – prayer will help make the prayer aware of their true needs…

Its important to have daily time alone with God in prayer so that you can know what He is saying back to you as well. Most people don’t hear an audible voice in reply – but there is no mistaking when God has responded by putting something on your heart – and this can be missed if you’re praying with the tv on – or the radio – or with any distraction…

When speaking with the teens – I try to explain to them that their prayers are like phone calls to Jesus…and if they are claiming Jesus is their savior – their very best friend in life – then they need to get in touch with Him… after all – they all have friends they talk to every day – be it on the phone, on line, or in school – and they wouldn’t miss an opportunity to speak with them – so why should God be any different? If you only talk to your best friend once a week – or even less – then that really isn’t a great relationship, is it? If you only pray to Him on Sundays – or during church activities – or holidays – then what you’re saying is ‘yeah – you’re my best friend – but I don’t care to talk with you very often’ – and what kind of friend is that?

If you’re a Christian who has struggled with your prayer life – then let today be the start of a new way for you – get down on your knees and get in touch with the almighty God – and start renewing your relationship with Him… before you know it – you too will be praying unceasingly – longing for that connection with God on a consistent basis too…
Now – there are best friends who people lose touch with – and when they finally get in touch – its like they never lost touch – the relationship has maintained strong and it can pick up where it left off – and thats how it is with Christ – start that conversation with Him – and you’ll find – He’s been waiting on your call for sometime – and He’s happy to hear from you…
